A Surbiton man who was given waterfall surgery at Kingston Hospital did a reversal to thank the staff who restored his sight.Paul Rand, 59, of Brighton Road, was dealt with at the Royal Eye Unit.The sight in his right eye started to break down a few years prior.
He included: "I was viewing telly, Emmerdale, and perusing the Comet and beginning to experience issues. I couldn't see out of my right eye."Notwithstanding I can see colours, all that, it is astounding. To recover my sight after all that time is a wonder.
"I need to thank Mr Muen, Dr Hurairah, Lisa Childs, Sheila Mettle, Iqbal Malik and Betty Onen." Ophthalmic surgeon Mr Wisam Muen said: "Mr Rand was a beguiling patient who was apprehensive about his operation for waterfall surgery."All the staff made a fabulous showing of making him feel quiet."I'm charmed he has had such a great outcome and has recognized a memorable change.
"We truly were not needing any exceptional much obliged as it was only one more normal case for the Royal Eye Unit staff, however it was extremely decent of Paul to do this and it has brightened all of us up."
