250 Autorickshaw Drivers Experience Eye Test At Camp

In the eye camp the Coimbatore City Traffic Police directed on Monday, the same amount as 250 autorickshaw drivers took an interest, said sources. The Police had organised the camp in acquaintanceship with the Aravind Eye Hospital at the police group corridor as a feature of the Road Safety Week festivals.

Drivers from different autorickshaw stands partook in the camp. They experienced preparatory test like pulse weigh before going in for eye test. They were tried for glaucoma, waterfall, short or long sight, eye weight, and so forth.

Those drivers who were found with waterfall were alluded to the Hospital free of charge surgery. Also the individuals who had different difficulties were asked to experience operation under the State Government's health protection plan.

Those in requirement of scenes were given glasses at subsidised rate, the sources said. Prior, Commissioner of Police A.k. Viswanathan initiated the camp in the vicinity of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, T.k. Rajasekaran.

Aide Commissioner of Police-Traffic, East, S. Ramakrishnan, Inspector K. Udayakumar and others were available.
